Last week in class we talked about what made a compelling story and afterwards the professor explained the basics of twine. Which is a fairly popular program used for digital storytelling. We also went over a couple examples in class like a writer being alone in the woods watched by someone who claims to be their biggest fan and a man outside your house with multiple endings with only one where he leaves only to watch someone else. The tutorial in class was extremely thorough and the professor gave us access to many different resources. I have to be honest it's very intimidating luckily the professor explained things in as much detail possible and was very patient with me when answering my questions. When I signed up for this class I didn't expect it would involve much coding and interactive experiences like playing video games. But I'm exited to see where this takes me. There are so many different kinds of stories I could tell through twine and an assignment due soon on digital storytelling soon. For now I'll just work on the program but I'll probably post an update soon. If you're interested in reading my interactive story let me know and I might put it in my portfolio.
